chip Kidd

Chip Kidd was the best lecture I've gone to this far at tyler. His failed attempts were pretty funny, I really liked the fact he could just show them to a room full of people even though they weren't accepted by different publishing companies. I really enjoyed all the stuff from bat-manga, and the terribly awesome 8th-man cartoon. I think what I liked best about chip kidd was that he looks like a super villain you would see in one of the comic books he obsesses over.

Lichtenstein Style Self Portrait

I'm not really feeling the text bubble, but it didnt seem right without it. The dots were easy but a grid sometimes appears when you view it because its such a detailed pattern that this blog site messes up the image, the grid doesn't appear when you view the image except on blogspot.
